WHALE WATCHING GUIDELINES

Whale watching is an exciting and educational experience, with tours available out of most seaports from Mexico to Alaska. To protect the animals and their observers, great care must be exercised by cruise captains and private boaters when approaching these sensitive leviathans. Guidelines have been developed in some areas to ensure that whale watching activities neither endanger the people or harass the whales.

Passengers are encouraged to commend captains for keeping within the guidelines when interacting with the whales. Do not hesitate to ask questions regarding incidents aboard your boat.
